Dr Kametz is very knowledgeable, caring and has healing hands. Because of him I am now able to go for long walks ( before seeing him, I can only go about a1/2 block. I had a hip replacement and ended up having some nerve damage.
Not only am I able to walk without pain but I sleep better and feel so much better overall.

Dr. Kametz is very knowledgeable about the Gonstead Chiropractic Method. He thoroughly teaches you where and why your spine needs adjusting and the results of these adjustments. I have been visiting Dr. Kametz for a few months and found noticeable pain relief and positive bodily functioning. He also teaches you movements that are effective for my body and encourages walking every day. I have been a patient at Gohl Clinic for a little over two weeks. Although this may not seem like a significant amount of time, my pain in my lower back has decreased significantly. This past weekend I was able to sit in a chair for two of my daughter’s softball games. I have not been fortunate to sit during her games for the past 2 years. Thank you so much Gohl Clinic. I’m looking forward to my upcoming appointments and my ultimate goal is to be able to run again!

I just started going to Dr. Kametz back in May 2024. I have lifted weights throughout my college years, always busy with track or athletics growing up. So I have always put my body under constant pressure. I was noticing some symptoms of lower back pain with standing for long periods of time and wasn’t able to lift my legs while lying down. I have never really liked chiropractors as I don’t like anyone touching my back, neck, etc. But I felt I needed to try something as my symptoms were not getting better. Since I have been here I have been able to lift my legs with no pain, I have slept SO much better at night, and I have been able to walk around and stand around without any pain in my lower back. I really believe the placements of our spine has something to do with efficiency of how our body operates. I feel 100% better and can notice a significant difference in my everyday activities and health. They are also very good on getting you in for an appt. I am spotty when I am in town but I can just call and they always get me in the day off, and I really appreciate that! I would highly recommend!

This was my first chiropractic experience and Dr. Kametz is amazing and has helped a lot with my neck and back pain after having 3 kids. He has taught me how to take care of my health overall. Melissa and Belle up front are so friendly and kind and make you right at home. Highly recommend!

Where can I start..5 years ago I met a wonderful doctor and his team I felt like a broken 80 year old. At the time I was 26 Soooo that’s dramatic but it’s very true. I was a mess and my body paid the consequences on it. I was in PAIN ever since I could remember!I didn’t take the care seriously and he kept insisting I should, but like a young adult I brushed it over and continued the life style I was in and went from bad to WORSE! Fast forward to 2 months ago here I was again running to him after hospitals and doctors wanted to do major spine surgery on me I went in and listened to his advice, his mentoring and his care, my life has done a 180! I owe my PAIN FREE life to this Doctor I get emotional and very happy I stumbled in their office that one time. I gained my youthful LIFE again and finally can feel like I don’t depend on meds or anything to keep me up and going. With all this being said I will forever recommend them and have so much love for him!

I came into the Gohl Clinic with hopes of alleviating pain in my joints. After getting treatment for 2 months, I am grateful for the overall improvement of my symptoms.
Update:
I have been a patient at Gohl Chiropractic for nearly a year and am so grateful for the wonderful doctor and staff. Not only do they have great care to give, but the Gonstead technique offered in the office is special in that there are qualitative and quantitative components. To be able to quantitatively visualize how your spine is before and after adjustments gives me a peace of mind that treatment is working. I’m 63 year old male patient. I have been receiving spinal treatments from Dr. Kametz for a month and a half now with 1 visit every 4 days. I am now down to 1 visit a week and back to normal without lower back and neck pain. My lower back pain became progressively worse after not addressing the problem from the beginning. As a retired machine operator I am not a stranger to spinal and neck adjustments or chiropractic visits. This time around was the worst case ever for me, as I had a hard time even walking without serious nerve pain. So after doing some research I found The Gohl clinic, read the positive reviews and viewed the clinic YouTube video explaining that he practices the proven Gonstead chiropractic method. I also watched the Gonstead difference documentary. At my first visit to the clinic I knew that this D.C. and the method used was different. First was an X-ray of my entire spine showing exactly where the problem was! First spine X-ray ever! And he makes adjustments where it’s needed not cracking you from head to toe. The difference with Dr. kametz and the entire staff , who are super friendly and polite and professional is they truly care about getting their patients back to being healthy and back to living their normal lives. I'm a 67 year old male patient that has had severe back, hip pain along with sciatic nerve pain. I also started to suffer from Neuropathy in my feet. I was very depressed with a negative outlook on life because of the pain and becoming 100% restricted to a wheelchair.
I'm overweight, and have high blood pressure (even with high blood pressure medication taken twice a day. My blood pressure is in the red zone)
I would like to share my experience with the Gohl Clinic of Chiropractic.
Prior to Gohl Chiropractors, this year I walk with a cane and started using a wheelchair about 60% of the time.
I was unable to lift my right leg, could not get in/out the car. My wife had to help me in and out of the bed.all we would do is stay in our home. Life was not good.
I spent months going to the Doctors and ended up twice in the hospital. After the last hospital stay (4days) the medical Dr specialists all wanted me to try Physical Therapy and medication. The meds would help occasionally with the pain, and Physical Therapy gave a temporary relieve.
Why a Chiropractor? I was very reserved about seeing one. I was worried they would really mess me up. Then a friend recommended Gohl Chiropractic. There are many Chiropractors close to my home, Gohl Chiropractic was 12 miles away. But with the recommendations I choose them. My wife and I meet with them and they explain their approach to Chiropractic versus other Chiropractors.
Wow did I make the right decision.
After my first visit Gohl Chiropractic game up with a game plan. They fully explained what they were going to do and what I could expect. This has took a short period of time, but after each visit I have felt the positive difference .
What are the differences?
1. I walk with no cane. I donated my wheelchair.
2. Pain in the back, hip and sciatic nerve are almost non existent.
3. Neuropathy is gone 100%
4. Sleep better at night.
5. I have stopped taking gurd medication.
6. BLOOD Pressure has gone from being dangerous red high to yellow zones and some days it's in the green zone.
7. No depression- Life is great again.
8. No more setting around the house. Leaving today for a 3 week vacation with no cane! Back riding a bicycle and plan on golfing next month.(Walking the course).

I became a patient of Dr. Kametz back in 2014 after meeting him by happenstance at Vitamin Shoppe. Dr. K is different from most chiropractors. He uses the Gonstead Chiropractic, which is a method in which only the areas of the spine that need adjustment get adjusted. I find that method preferable to the traditional, head-to-toe adjustments every visit. Over the years, I have recommended Dr. K to friends and acquaintances who complained about body pain or were looking for a new chiropractor. Two actually became patients of Dr. K as well. Dr. K's practice has grown since 2014. He is now joined by Will, who is not only a skilled chiropractor but has a background and expertise in Physical Therapy. Both Dr. K and Will have provided me with a lot of relief. The front desk staff at Gohl Clinic are friendly and caring. Overall review: positive experience!

I experienced a remarkable transformation in my health thanks to the clinic. From the beginning, the staff was exceptionally friendly, providing high quality care. The recommendations for taking care of my back were essential. Although the treatment seemed strange to me at first, after only 6 sessions, the sciatica pain completely disappeared. After 15 years, many thousands spent, and several chiropractic methods later, the Gonstead method at the Gohl clinic delivered. This should be the standard in chiropractic care. No other method truly helped restore my vertebral issues.
My issue was C5/C6, L5/S1, T4 and a rotated pelvis. After just 13 sessions twice per week, I'm pain and discomfort free. I have more to go to keep things reinforced but less frequent visits.
As a lifelong surfer, my sessions were always limited or non-existent due to pain and discomfort. Surf trips we're always short. Now I'm feeling and surfing like a grom again. Very stoked!

I went here while on vacation at the recommendation of my home chiropractor. I saw Dr. K for bell's palsy, which started on a Tuesday. I went twice for adjustments that week. My bells palsy was 100% gone by Sunday. I was really nervous to go to someone different for such a scary thing, but I knew I needed chiropractic care and it was either that or fly home. Give him a shot. Chiropractic care works and he is clearly an excellent DC.

I suffered a lot from swollen feet, back and neck pain that kept me from sleeping, before attending Gohl Clinic of Chiropractic. I went to other places where they only said it was stress, but with them at the first adjustment I felt the difference, the treatment is super good and they explain everything in detail. They speak Spanish and answer all your questions, they are very flexible with the schedule.

My experience with the Gohl Clinic as been nothing short of spectacular. First and foremost, the team is incredibly kind, polite, warm and friendly. They are always greeting you by first name as you walk through the door. Appointments are quick and effective so I never feel like I have to spend half my day planning for this appointment because they are so efficient. Dr. Kametz is absolutely wonderful. He personalizes your treatment towards your needs and health goals. His positivity abounds and you can tell he really cares for the total wellness of his patients. He believes in proactive treatment versus reactive treatment. He is very knowledgeable, kind and always takes the extra few minutes to address any of your concerns or to simply ask how you are doing. He has even called me personally at home when I have not been able to make an appointment due to injury to make sure I am okay and to offer any tips or pointers that could help in getting me back to health. I have been to several chiropractors in the past and I could not recommend this practice more. First chiropractor I’ve ever been to that actually made me feel cared about. 10/10 stars from me!

This office and staff are beyond amazing the reason I went to this Chiropractor is that Dr. Kametz got to the root cause of my sister’s fertility issues and got her healthy enough to conceive two beautiful girls. And for me Dr. Kametz has helped with my seizure activity by helping me take a different approach besides medication and I appreciate it because the difference is amazing. They are also accommodating to my hectic travel schedule and make every effort to see me when I need adjustments on short notice.

Headed to a back surgery with extreme back and numb legs. Barely able to get into my car much less play any sports. I met Dr.Kametz and decided to give him a shot. 4 years later broke 80 first time playing golf. No surgery no leg numbness and no back pain. The entire staff is fantastic, super helpful and makes everyone feel like family. Highly recommended. Without a doubt the best chiropractic experience.

I visited Dr. Joe after seeing YouTube videos of the Gonstead Method and having constant back and neck stiffness. I would always need to crack by back to get comfortable before sleeping, and would often wake up with a stiff neck where you can't move it one way without pain for a few days. The improvement after seeing Dr. Joe was gradual but definitely noticeable. After about 1 year, I was feeling better than I had been in the past 5 years. Its been about 4 years now since I started visiting Dr. Joe and feel great. I don't feel like "I'm getting old" anymore and feel like I'll be able to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle for many years to come. Thank you Gohl Clinic!

Hands down the best chiropractor clinic in Carlsbad. The receptionist are always friendly and helpful, the Doctors perform their job with a passion and actually care about your quality of life. I’ve dealt with a magnitude of pain due to an autoimmune disorder and injuries sustained during military service for 10+ years of my life. Love this place! Will is the best adjuster. He always explains what he is doing and why. Every adjustment is designed to fit my current needs, painful areas, etc. Will has fixed some areas I have had pain in for years. He is also very nice and always try’s to make me feel comfortable and relaxed.

Pain eliminated! Dr Kametz continues to be my secret weapon for sanity and working long hours over a laptop. During the pandemic, I was forced to work without a proper set up that caused pain in a number of areas, mainly neck and back. His adjustments allowed me to function well during that craziness. Now we focus more on keeping my hands working on the mouse and keyboard. Highly recommend!

Life changing! I got whiplash and blacked out on a roller coaster and felt as if my spine was stabbing me in the bottom of my skull. Along with headaches nausea and vomiting and being bedridden multiple days of the week. I left another chiropractor because I always felt worse and was in excruciating pain after having my neck adjusted. I started physical therapy for my neck and was told I was 45% disabled from my neck. Finished physical therapy treatment and still wasn’t anywhere near where I wanted to be so I reluctantly took my sisters advice and came here. I started with stabilization. I’d say I’ve been a patient for 2 years now and I can go through my day’s normally now!

Im a former military, with years of treatment through a wide range of practitioners and zero results. Within weeks of seeing Dr. Kametz, I have great relief in my lower back, my sleeping patterns have begun to revert back to some what normal and my never ending bowel movements have almost completely returned to normalcy. Highly recommend his services before any other treatments unlike what I did and had lower back surgery first then found him.

Highly recommend!! I have been with Dr K for a few years now and I absolutely love him! I see him religiously. After having my first I had horrible sciatic pain. Thanks to Dr K that is no longer an issue! I have also tapped into the REGENISIS side of the office, after 2 kids I struggled with my weight so I decided to give it a go! Their new RED LIGHT program actually works! I’ve lost about 15lbs so far and only half way through!!

Since day one I felt super comfortable coming in. The office staff was very friendly and very professional. Dr. Joseph Kametz is super nice and very professional. After seeing a physical therapist and chiropractor for a herniated C5/C6 which was causing debilitating nerve pain in my left arm and hand, I heard about Dr. Kametz and his methodology. He X-rayed my back, and was able to concisely explain the technique he would use to correct the problem. True to form, 6 months later, he was able to completely restore function and feeling where others failed after 2 years. I cannot recommend Dr Kametz enough. My son was diagnosed with active airways diseases (asthma) at just under 2 years old. Any cold and he would be struggling to breathe and in ER in a matter of minutes. Dr. Kametz has changed my sons life in the most amazing way. We fight cold so much faster then before and haven’t been to ER since starting his adjustments. I can’t even remember the last time he needed a breathing treatemeny. Dr. Kametz is a miracle worker and I can’t even fathom where our life would be without finding him and gonstead chiropractic work. Thank you Dr!!!!!

I highly recommend Gohl clinic!! Stop looking around for a chiropractor. Dr. Kametz is the doctor you have been looking for. I have been coming to Gohl clinic for 6 months, and I can say I feel great. I've had back problems for years, and i can say He definitely knows what he's doing with his patients. Not to mention the staff is always super friendly and very helpful.

This place saved my life !
In just 12 visits I went from a level 9 pain / discomfort to 100% pain free. I wish I would have found this place sooner !! I had been in pain for so long. Nerve pain in my arm, my hand, my shoulder, my pelvis, my hips, my neck ! I wasn’t sleeping, couldn’t really workout, couldn’t focus, had extreme brain fog, you can view the before and after log to see all my symptoms. At just 30 years old, I felt like I was falling apart from the inside out. Thank you so much Dr Kametz, you and your AMAZING staff. You have such a beautiful business here and I’ll never stop telling people how much you helped me! And Glory to God for answering my prayers and leading me here ! Dr. Kametz initially impressed me with how much he cares about chiropractic and me as a patient. Even more so, how much he wanted me (and all of his patients) to understand how the body works and the importance of a healthy spine. Over 2-3 months I felt better, slept better, and reduced injuries during my long runs. When we did a follow up x-ray I could see visible improvements.

The Gohl Clinic is a top notch chiropractic facility with one of the best chiropractors I have ever experienced. I have been to many different docs over the years but Dr Kametz is by far the best. He takes time for you and explains your condition in detail and correlates with his exam and x-rays. His adjustments are precise and gentle and he never twists or uses excessive force. I would recommend this doctor to anyone looking for high quality chiropractic care in the san diego or orange county areas.

What I admired the most and the reason I go to Dr. Kametz is the fact that he’s such a detailed oriented individual. He wouldn’t allow you to leave until everything is perfect and at tip to shape. This is extremely important and I believe the reason I was able to qualify for the Boston Marathon because of him.

I have been seeing Dr. Kametz for three years now. Before that I had seen at least a dozen chiropractors, therapists, acupuncturists, medical doctors and anyone else who could offer me pain relief over the last dozen years. After seeing Dr. Kametz, I am so much better today than I have been in many, many years thanks to his techniques. I did construction work and drove and loaded and unloaded trucks for over 30 years and it took its toll on me. I continue his maintenance visits every 3 weeks as well as walking to keep in shape. I highly recommend Dr. Kametz to all of you whether you feel the pain or not. You deserve to feel better and your body will thank you for it.
