EWOT Exercise With Oxygen Therapy by LiveO2 in Carlsbad

Optimize Performance. Accelerate Recovery. Train Smarter.

At Gohl Clinic of Chiropractic, we’re proud to offer LiveO2 Adaptive Contrast Oxygen Training, a breakthrough system designed to dramatically improve performance and recovery. Whether you’re an endurance athlete pushing your limits or healing from tissue damage, LiveO2 delivers oxygen where your body needs it most—at levels far beyond what traditional training or therapy can achieve.

What is LiveO2?

LiveO2 is a state-of-the-art oxygen training system that uses adaptive contrast therapy to switch between high-oxygen (+O2) and low-oxygen (-O2) environments while you exercise. This dynamic shift creates a powerful physiological effect, forcing your body to maximize oxygen uptake and delivery to tissues.

By alternating between high and low oxygen levels, LiveO2 helps:

  • Expand and open microcirculation

  • Increase oxygen delivery to under-perfused tissues

  • Boost mitochondrial function and energy production

  • Accelerate recovery and repair

Why Endurance Athletes Love the -O2 Setting

The -O2 setting is where LiveO2 truly shines for endurance athletes. By briefly reducing oxygen intake, the system mimics training at high altitude, forcing the body to adapt quickly. When the oxygen is switched back to high levels, your blood vessels dilate and oxygen floods into tissues at a level traditional training can’t match.

Benefits of LiveO2:

  • Enhance VO2 max and aerobic capacity

  • Improve stamina and recovery time

  • Optimize red blood cell and hematocrit efficiency

  • Train smarter without additional joint or tissue stress

For runners, cyclists, triathletes, and anyone relying on endurance, the -O2 setting can be the edge that pushes you to the next level.

Duplicate Training at 11,000 Ft. While at Sea Level!

Instead of training at Big Bear, do your altitude training in Carlsbad!  By using the adaptive training module, you will force the body to adapt to training in a low O2 environment.  In as little as four training sessions, you’re ability to train in reduced O2 environments will be so noticeable by your ability to exercise at a greater intensity for a longer time.  Full adaptation may take place in as little as two weeks to a month.  What you’ll notice is a decrease in your training heart rate.  One of our clients training HR went from 152 to 132 in two weeks, setting her up for her PR in Boston.

Non-Athletic Benefits: Recovery from Tissue Damage and Injury

Oxygen is the foundation of healing. Many injuries—especially to muscles, ligaments, and other soft tissues—heal slowly because of poor circulation to the damaged area. These areas are known as “brown out” areas, where the red blood cells can’t squeeze thru the capillaries, leaving the tissues there weakened.   LiveO2 combats this by:

  • Forcing vasodilation via -O2
  • Delivering high concentrations of oxygen directly to compromised tissues

  • Stimulating new capillary growth and improving circulation

  • Reducing inflammation and promoting faster cellular repair

Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury, post-surgical tissue damage, or chronic inflammation, LiveO2 can significantly accelerate the healing process.

How LiveO2 Works at Gohl Clinic

  1. Personalized Session: You’ll use the Airdyne to raise your heart rate —while connected to the LiveO2 system.

  2. Adaptive Contrast: You’ll alternates you between high (+O2) and low (-O2) oxygen environments to create rapid vascular and metabolic responses.

  3. Immediate Benefits: Many clients feel increased energy and improved recovery right after their first session.

Only 15 minutes or less are necessary for recovery and 20 minutes for endurance athletes.  Sessions are customized for your to your fitness and recovery goals.  Sessions are unsupervised unless specifically requested and paid for.  Rates for supervised sessions are billed out at 3x the normal office rate to accommodate the staff time.
