Dr. Kametz here. On Wednesday, Dec 18, I hurt myself picking up something in a bent position in the back seat of the car. Immediately my muscles seized up to “splint” the damage. I took a 20 minute walk and began icing before the morning rush.
The first x-ray I took was on Thur Dec 19, right before my first adjustment. I took the first picture in the bathroom mirror on Friday Dec 20 morning. Over the next few days, I got better and better. The final x-rays I took were on Monday Dec 23. They were both before my third and final adjustment that allowed my symptoms to diminish. I faked a severe antalgic posture with acute focus of bending right at L5 and could not reproduce the antalgia.
I experimented on myself to show you that posture is not the cause of subluxation but is caused by subluxation. The nervous system controls posture. The antalgic posture is controlled when the nervous system has been compromised acutely. This is no different from chronic posture. Both are controlled by the nervous system.
